Therapy through your WPA policy

I am a recognised Consultant Clinical Psychologist provider for WPA Health Insurance. I know that WPA clients are often time poor and value flexibility in meeting times and platforms. With this in mind I work closely with WPA to offer a WPA Fast Track service, with no waiting list, an initial appointment usually within a few days and invoices submitted directly to WPA.

How to use your WPA policy

The process of accessing therapy using your WPA policy is simple and usually only takes a few days.

  1. Arrange a complimentary 15-minute call with me, so we can talk briefly about what you’d like help with and you can decide if I’m the right therapist for you.

  2. Speak to WPA through the WPA Health app, the My WPA portal, or by calling the number on your membership card. They will confirm your cover and if a GP referral is needed. They will then provide a pre-authorisation code for an initial session.

  3. Initial Session where you’ll outline what you're struggling with and together we will create a treatment plan. With your consent I will share this plan with WPA and they will usually authorise three months of treatment.

  4. Ongoing work Every three months, with your consent I will provide a brief update report to WPA and they will authorise another three months of treatment if required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Arranging an initial consultation

The first step is a complimentary 15-minute telephone conversation. There is no charge and no obligation; it is an opportunity for you to talk through what you’d like help with and to decide if I’m the right therapist for you.

If you decide to go ahead, I can talk you through the WPA pre-authorisation process and answer any questions about how it works in practice.

As I’m often in sessions the easiest way to get in touch is via the contact form below. If you’d prefer to call or message me, please do so on 07565 537750 and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I am unable to provide the right level of support to respond to crisis situations and do not work with deliberate self-harm, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders or school refusal in my private practice.

“This therapy has had such a profound affect on my life, I only wish I’d had therapy with Kate years ago, but so glad she was able to help me make sense of my struggles. I couldn’t recommend Kate enough.”
